I listed Evernote in the list of top productivity apps and now I’ll be writing why I added it to the list.
I was using Microsoft One note from a very long time, but as my life become more hectic and I stated spending most of my time away from my PC, I started using Evernote as it is available on mobile platforms as well.
Great ideas for blog come to mind when you are away from your PC to note it down, Evernote makes it easy to note it on your mobile and get it on PC.
If you find anything interesting, you just need to click it’s photo and save it in Evernote.
To do list
There are many apps to create and manage to do lists but I like using Evernote because it can be used easily and it available everywhere. I don’t like to use anything else if it can be done in Evernote.
Organize Business Cards
Either you carry a business card holder or put all of them in your wallet, it will be a relief for you if you can simple carry the Digital version of them in your phone. Just take a snap of the business cards using your mobile camera and save it in Evernote. Evernote has a capability to grab text from images which is going to make your life easy.
Note down Ideas on the Go
Best ideas hit your mind when you are away from your workstation, sometimes it happens when you are in a rush and if you don’t write it down, it’s gone forever. Evernote saves your Ideas. I use it to collect blog ideas for all my blogs.
Collect interesting clippings from the web
While researching for a particular project, Evernote helps you by lettings you save web clippings and make it available on every work machine so that you contribute to your project from any computer.
Work on the same document from anywhere.
Though there are many services for this purpose like Google Docs, Zoho, and even Microsoft Office Live, I prefer using Evernote to save myself from the hassle of creating another file and adapting myself to the new platform. Evernote doesn’t provide rich text functionalities but lets you work in offline mode also.
Its not just the text you save and sync, it’s photos, videos and voice as well. Though there are a couple of other apps as well but I’ll be sticking with Evernote only for a while.
