There are times when you find a typo in one of your posts that has been published and is live on the blog.
We all know how tiring it is to go back to the backend of the site, get into the posts editor, find that post and edit it. And sometimes we delay it and later forget about it.
It has happened to me so many times, I find an error in any of my posts and still forget to correct because of the repetitive process that comes in the way to keeps me from fixing those typos or errors.
Well, that is not a good thing to do and you don’t have to do it if you are using WordPress.
There is a plugin called Live Edit WP, which will makes your life easy by letting you edit and update pages right from the front of your webpage.
Here is how it works.
You can either download the plugin or install it right from backend of your WordPress blog and activate it.
Now go to any of your posts you want to edit, and click on the Title, if you want to edit the title or click on the posts body if there is something to be edited in the post.
You will automatically get the option to edit the title and the posts on that page.
See, I have made a typo in the image itself. :-)
After you have made edits, simply click outside the post body or title area and if will get updated automatically.
The only thing I miss is that there is no on/off button or shortcut to turn off this feature when not needed and it also adds to the number of revisions of the post whenever you enter the editing move. But revisions can also be restricted or cleaned up using on of the optimizing plugins. But I think I’ll let that pass and keep this plugin for making my life easy with edits and corrections.
